And AIS - Create RTI website!!!!! - HS Learning labs o Could be avenue for pull outs/reading Content specific projects (math/science/Eng./SS) o This could be tier I or II depending upon intensity o Rethink AIS - Pay a teacher to stay til 5:00 for HW help. - Expand tutoring program o Could be tied to time: 4 wks., 6 wks., 8 wks., etc. o Could be NHS students or teacher o Social or emotional support as well as academic § Sports teammates help each other § Drama students help each other - Revamping of AIS - need same levels together, smaller numbers, removal of students who are only just lazy. - Establish “help/AIS” labs available for full days – so students can float in and out as needed – would be able to help more students. - A mentor teacher to “monitor” a student during Advisement to help “send” the student to the appropriate content teacher. - “Help” lab during lunch.
- Tier 2 – Speech improvement services for language, processing, recall executive functioning issues. o Language/Math Lab - Class Specific – Modifications o Working with teacher – modifying class, notes-specific to difficulty of group - Relook at role of Teacher Assistant in classroom (i.e.), small pull out group instruction. - Counseling – group sessions with a rotation peer relationships, etc… - Modified note packets with reduced content & lots of visuals. - Leveled texts - Use Advisement for AIS/learning rather than a study hall - AIS should be small and have 1 subject area per AIS grouping - AIS contract - 9th grade study skills class? Need to re-implement - Move Advisement to middle of day - Mandatory 5th SH for all Probation/NP students
